But that doesn’t work for highly skilled public accounting professionals. So, unlike other firms, our first job isn’t to find you a job.

It’s to find you. Your most marketable skills and strengths. The environments you’re best in. The people you’re most effective with. And most important, your vision.

Here’s how we do it.

We’ve distilled years of experience into a simple, successful process.

Step 1: Bonding

Probing conversations are the only way we can know you well enough to create opportunities for you. Why are you looking to make a change? What are your strengths? What do you enjoy—and not enjoy doing? What about hobbies, family, other interests? We’ll cover your career progression, too, of course. And your “soft’ profile—personality, management/relationship style—so your qualifications and your chemistry are both right for the firms we’ll contact for you.

Step 2: Route to Vision 

Everyone has a vision of where they want their career to go. When you’ve arrived…where will you be? What job title and responsibilities? Location? Compensation? What size company will you thrive in?  What would the corporate culture be like in the ideal situation? All of these are incorporated into your hand-carved Route to Vision. It’s a detailed career/marketing plan. Mapping out every major move we agree you should make. What kind of firms to target, when, where, in what industry category. Even details like how much travel is required, the commute required—everything.

Step 3: Career moves

Then, at each right moment in your career, we proactively search for the opportunity you want. If it doesn’t exist, we try to convince the right firm to create it.
